Hebrews Preview

Welcome and thank you for diving into this course provided by The Hill and Bob Warren! 

The epistle to the Hebrews is truly fascinating and, in my opinion, one of the most important books in the entire Word of God.  In fact, outside of the first eight chapters of the book of Romans, I have found no portion of Scripture more informative or enlightening.  Hebrews is basically a book about Jesus: Who He is and what He has done, and is presently doing, for those who have accepted Him as Savior.  Thus, Hebrews is a “must” book if you are seeking to comprehend the depths of the Person of Christ.  

    This epistle will assist you in many ways, for it confirms the supremacy of Christ over all created things—be they angels, Moses, or even the Levitical priesthood.  Not only will this letter allow you to know Christ more intimately, and grant new insights relating to the cross, but it will also deepen your understanding of the Old Testament.  It will explain, therefore, the purpose of the Old Testament sacrificial system as well as the regulations associated with worship in both the tabernacle and the temple.  The book also addresses faith and its importance.  All in all, Hebrews is a powerful treatise on the fundamental truths of the gospel of Christ.
